Shelby SuperSnake and Terlingua Production Ramps Up

Post title supercars now rolling out at faster pace.

03-25-09: Shelby Automobiles, Inc. has ramped up production of the Super Snake GT500 and Terlingua Racing Team V6 Ford Mustang post title packages in Las Vegas. With the production of the Ford Shelby GT500KR reaching its completion, the switch to production of the post title packages, will allow Shelby Automotibles to deliver up to 50 cars per week begining April 6, 2009, which are available for 2005 – 2009 Ford Mustangs and Shelby GT500’s

“Finishing production of the 2009 Shelby GT500KR will allow us to move the Super Snake and Terlingua Racing Team programs into the fast lane,” said Amy Boylan, president of Shelby Automobiles.

The Super Snake post-title packages, are designed to further enhance the Ford Shelby GT500’s styling, handling, and performance. Customers bring their 2005-2009 GT500 to the factory and choose from several engine tuning option packages, including a warranted 605 HP V8 to over 725 HP (unwarranted). Each model year, only 1,000 total Super Snakes will be built. Each vehicle receives a Shelby serial number and is documented in the official factory registry.

“We’ve added several new assembly lines and trained the KR production team to build Super Snakes and Terlingua Racing Team cars,” added Gary Davis, vice president of production.

Significant performance and striking visual enhancements, are what can be found with the Terlingua Racing Team package for the V6 Mustang. The handling and braking capabilities, are notably enhanced as well, and like the Shelby GT500 Super Snake program, there are several Terlingua Racing Team package options to choose from. Available horsepower up to 350 offers balanced performance and a great value.
