05-28-09: For some time we here at TMN have been getting emails from owners of the S-197 Mustang GT/CS asking about production information, and other pertinent figures for their cars. Thanks to GT/CS owner and enthusiast Ron Davis of northern California there is a new place to interact and get information about the special cars.
The GT/CS Registry is a labor of love that Ron started out of his search for information on his car. He found early on that there was nowhere to find specific information or production numbers for the cars and it led to him creating one.

His website www.gtcsregistry.com has gained a pretty strong following already with over 400 of the some 8500 Mustang GT/CS owners from the USA, Canada and even Iceland. His goal is to get as many of the GT/CS owners to add their car information to the registry as possible to create a living database of the cars.
Recently he was able to obtain from Ford detailed production numbers for the 2007-2009 Mustang GT/CS that includes breakdowns of body styles and colors. A major accomplishment, this will allow owners to see how many cars like their exist out there in the world.
The Mustang GT/CS was built from 2007 through 2009. Similar to the 1968 California Special, the new generation GT/CS offered visual upgrades that included a unique front fascia, GT/CS tape stripes and a number of other small details.
