Hot Products: JBA GT-500 Long Tube Headers and Exhaust System!

It didn't take long for J. Bittle to craft up a set of high quality exhaust for the new Snake!

11-20-06: JBA has been a big name in performance exhaust for a long time. Their “shorty” headers for the 5.0 liter Mustangs back in the 1980’s really put them on the map. Since then the company has been known for their high quality and precision products that fit well, last well and most importantly work well. That translates to extra ponies under the hood and a great sound.

Soon to hit the retail stage are their new set of stainless steel JBA long tube headers and JBA performance exhaust system for the 2007 Ford GT-500. Specially designed for use with the 5.4 liter supercharged Snake, they promise to deliver a significant increase in hp/tq and a powerful exhaust tone.

The stainless steel headers are a sight to behold with their mandrel bent tubes and extra thick 3/8” laser-cut flanges. The tubes all converge in what JBA calls their “Firecone” collector. The headers come in natural stainless steel finish but are also going to be available with an optional ceramic coating as well. All hardware and instruction are included, but plan a full-day or better to install these babies if you are doing it yourself.

The performance exhaust system is a bolt-on set up that again has mandrel bent tubing and all the hardware necessary for installation. The JBA performance mufflers have beefy 3 ½” chrome plated rolled stainless steel tips. That be sure to look mean enough, but the sound is another story. JBA claims not only a significant increase in hp/tq but a considerably louder and deeper sound.
