Steeda rolls out OEM Ford HID Headlamp Kits.
02-01-08: We begged for them for years. Ford finally gave us an option for HID headlights for the Mustang in 2008. But what about your 2005-2007 Mustang? Or maybe your new 2008 didn’t come with them. Not to despair, Steeda is now offering a Ford OEM HID Upgrade Kit for you to add these substantially better headlights to your car.
The HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlamps provide three times more lumen output than standard halogen headlamps. The beam pattern is white in color, very intense, very wide, and significantly improves driver ability to see and to be seen. Valeo Sylvania XSIGHTING LIGHTING HID headlamps utilize a single HID light source to provide both low and high beam functions (bi-directional).

While it would seem that these higher intensity lamps would use more power, the opposite is true. These factory OEM HID headlamps operate at 35 watts or 2.73 amps versus stock halogen headlamps at 55 watts or 4.30 amps in low beam and 60 watts or 4.69 amps for the high beam.
The best part is that you get styling bang for the buck. One look at the car and people can see you coming. The Mustang HID headlamps are noticeably different from the stock halogen headlamps boasting the Ford Oval Logo in the center of the chrome light shield. At night, the intense white light sets the car apart from all the others on the road.
Steeda’s kit Includes: 1 set of Valeo Sylvania XSIGHTING LIGHTING Bi-Functional HID Headlamps, 1 Wire Harness and Installation Instructions. Everything you need to get started! The kit takes about 3 hours to install with only moderate experience and no only standard fare tools are required.
The kit fits all 2005-2008 Mustang V6 and GT and has a suggested retail price of $995.95. More information at www.Steeda.com
