More bang for the buck coming soon from Roush Performance
09-08-09: Roush Performance has not made the official announcement yet, but has a new cold-air-intake ready to launch for the 2010 Mustang GT.
The new CAI replaces the stock 2010 Mustang GT filter housing with a true open element filter. The system uses a unique air shroud that seals against the bottom of the hood to assure that fresh, or “cold” air is breathed in by the engine.

Looking as it would have been designed by Ford itself is no surprise coming from Roush. The company is well known for its OEM level of fit and engineering. The new filter will have a retail price around $199 and will not require a retune.
The stock MAF sensor will bolt into the new system which we can expect will give your 2010 Mustang GT somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-10hp extra. Not bad for $199. Obviously, we will have to wait until Roush officially announces the new system to get a definitive hp number.
Our friends at Stage3Motorsports are taking preorders on the new unit now, which is expected to start shipping by the end of September.
